makes a valuable contribution to the history of the development of routes
north, especially to the Gwaai area, rich in detail, it is one of the
rarest and most difficult to obtain pieces of Rhodesiana, dealing with the
pre-pioneer era, Mohr, a seasoned traveller, had earlier been in the
California goldfields, South America and the Far East and was well-versed
in botany, entomology, zoology so that his observations have great
relevance, he refers to his meetings with Thomas Baines and Carl Mauch,
